Today we are under the 3rd major snow storm of the season and we haven't recovered from the last. The was still about a foot or so left of snow before today when we got another 18 in. The snow was up to my son's best friend's waist (she is 8). My son didn't want to be out in it once it got that deep. Trying to walk the dog is a comedy of errors. Watching her try to figure out where to put her butt so it doesn't touch the snow and got to the bathroom. I guess snow always seem worse than rainy days. At least on a rainy day, I could or would go to the store to run an errand. In snow, I don't want to be out driving. The people who are out do not seemed concerned about the dangers of the road. Taking my son to school yesterday, the roads were still a little snow covered not too bad but this guy behind me was following me so closely I was afraid to try to stop to quickly. Is it that the danger doesn't seem real to them or that they think that an accident won't happen to them? I am not going to speed on slick roads with my 9 yr old in the car, that is just stupid. The guy behind me actually tooted his horn at me. Stupid people make me mad!
Sorry for venting
Sleep well,

Some nights...
I hate the nights when you feel lousy and just want to curl up and in a ball and sleep but you can't. My head hurts so bad and while my throat and voice seem better. I still feel miserable. Last night I went to the store to get a prescription came home and went right to bed and left Greg in charge of Matt. About 5 hours later I wake up (It is 2:30 am). Technically I was woken up by Matt, my 9 year old son, who is all wound and says Mommy, isn't it cool, Daddy and I are playing Wii. I look at him and look at the clock and realize I have to get out of bed. Turns out he ate 1/2 a bag of Oreos too in the process of not going to bed. So today Greg couldn't get up. He slept most of the day, except when I woke him up to take the dog out for a walk because I am feeling witchy. I'm sick and he doesn't feel well because he didn't go to bed. I still got 5 loads of laundry done today. This blog sounds more like complaining and I apologize. I needed to vent a little. Hope you do not mind.
Sleep well,
Tina

I love being his mom!
I just wanted to post this, because I think Matt is awesome and precious and picks up everything and tries so hard to incorporate what he knows into what he says and does.
Today Matt went to bowling. Greg took him since I am sick, but I packed him in warm clothes and sent him off. I gave Greg a hat for him. Turns out the hat was too small. He turns to Greg and says "Curse you Tina the 34 year old mother!" Did I mention he loves Phineas and Ferb?

School, my son Matt and me
Tonight is going to be my first entry. I have started it many times but never actually posted... I got a note home from school today. Matt had a really good week, and they want it to continue and they asked for some ideas to keep him on track, they mentioned music for him to listen to and asked what I thought...
Music is something he loves very much. If there is music playing he cannot always sit still. He was taking piano lessons until this past week, he decided he wants to play for fun and enjoy it, but he is not enjoying lessons, so we are backing off of it until he wants to try it again. He sits at the keyboard almost every day and plays, just not what his teacher wanted him to. He goes to bed with a cd playing almost every night. I have tried to make it mellow music, classical, soothing. Usually it is the chipmunks soundtrack, or his math music addition, subtractions or multiplication cd. He has eclectic taste hehe. He has a large assortment of cds, including a bunch of kid bopz as well.
I am not sure how he will do while listening to music is class. It is a talent I developed, and use even now. When I am reading, music is always on in the background and helps me focus. My family jokes that I have ADD just not diagnosed like my brother and son. I know how to keep myself on track and have been working to teach him those methods, music has been one of them, which is easy since he loves it. For me when music was added into the background when i was reading, or tv while I did homeowrk, i was done in no time. I am hoping it works for him.
That is enough for tonight. I am sure I will have more to say tomorrow.
